The Holy Trinity is a name for the three Divine Persons in One God. The Divine Persons are the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We have talked about God the Father and God the Son. Before we talk about the Holy Trinity, let’s learn a little bit about God the Holy Spirit.
Who is the Holy Spirit?
The Holy Spirit is the one who helps you know God and follow Jesus’ teachings. He is with you right now as you read this!
The Holy Spirit is like a coach. A coach teaches you how to play a game. He gives you the rules and helps you practice your skills. He cheers when you do well, and corrects you when you make a mistake. This is what the Holy Spirit does to help you grow in your Catholic Faith.
The Holy Spirit is drawn as a dove in many pictures. This is how the Holy Spirit came down to Jesus when He was baptized. The dove is a sign of the peace and happiness that the Holy Spirit gives us.
Sometimes the Holy Spirit is called “fire” or “wind.” Both of these tell us more about what the Holy Spirit brings us. By “fire,” we know that the Holy Spirit brings us strength. By “wind,” we know that the Holy Spirit brings us life.

Look at a shamrock. It has three leaves but only one stem. Each leaf is unique, but the three leaves have the same center. Think about the word “God” in the center of the shamrock. Picture it there. Now picture the word “Son” on one leaf, “Father” on the top leaf, and “Holy Spirit on the last leaf. This is the Holy Trinity.
In the first lesson we learned that the Father is called Creator. When we think about the creation of the world, we think about God the Father. In the second lesson we learned about Jesus, who is the Son. Jesus gave us the way to go to Heaven and be happy with Him forever. Because the Son teaches us about our Faith, He is sometimes called &ldquo... Please purchase this lesson to continue learning.
